What I collect, and what I do with it

Last updated October 8, 2026

Short version: I collect what I need to send you your X-ray, follow up on it, and run this site. I don't sell it, I don't use advertising trackers, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

This site is run by Sam Awezec, an independent consultant. Questions or requests go to sam@samawezec.com.

When you run a Growth X-ray

You give me:

  • the website you want scanned,
  • your work email,
  • what you most want to dig into (PLG funnel, pricing, agent readiness, or all three),
  • and, only if you tick the box, permission to send you the Friday teardown.

I use these to run the scan, email you the report, and write my notes on it. I get an alert for each scan so I can follow up personally. The report email and my notes are part of the service you asked for, so they are not marketing. Emails come from hello@samawezec.com; a reply goes straight to me at sam@samawezec.com.

The scan itself reads only public pages of the site you name and of three competitors. How that works, and how a site can opt out, is on the crawler page. Page text from those public sites is processed by Anthropic's Claude models to extract pricing and draft the report's findings. Your email address is not sent to them.

Reports live at a private, unguessable link. They are marked so search engines don't index them, and they aren't listed anywhere on this site.

When you book a call

Before the scheduler opens, I record your first and last name, email, company, the page you came from, and anything you choose to tell me about what you want to discuss. The same details go to my HubSpot account, which is where I keep track of conversations. Scheduling itself happens in HubSpot Meetings. HubSpot has its own privacy policy.

When you subscribe to the Friday teardown

I store your email, where you subscribed, the wording you agreed to, and when. Every teardown email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. I don't use a double opt-in, and I never add you to the list from an X-ray or a call request unless you ticked the box.

Analytics and cookies

Nothing optional is measured until you say it may. Until you answer the cookie banner, and if you decline, PostHog, Google Analytics and HubSpot's tracking code do not load and set no cookies. Declining later also removes the cookies they already set. Change your answer any time from Cookie choices in the footer. The answer itself is kept in one cookie, sa_consent, for a year.

If you accept:

  • I use PostHog and Google Analytics to see how people use this site, and HubSpot's tracking code to connect visits with conversations I am already having. These set first-party analytics cookies.
  • When you run an X-ray or book a call, PostHog and HubSpot link your visits to your email, so I can see which pages you read before we talk.
  • Report links are private. Before any page address reaches these tools, the report's link is replaced with a placeholder, so none of them can open your report.
  • The seat-to-outcome model in your report runs in your browser. Nothing you type into it is stored or sent: analytics only records that the model was opened, and session replay masks every field.
  • Page views are also counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or fingerprinting.
  • No advertising cookies.

Where it is stored

The site runs on Cloudflare. Records are stored in a Supabase Postgres database, and email is sent through a transactional email provider. These companies process data on my behalf and not for their own purposes. Your IP address is never stored as is: I keep only a salted hash of it, to enforce scan limits and stop abuse.

How long I keep it

  • The live event log of each scan: 90 days, then deleted.
  • Your X-ray report, your contact details and any call request: until you ask me to delete them.
  • Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe and ask me to delete them.
  • Snapshots of public pricing pages: kept to compare prices over time.

Your choices

Email sam@samawezec.com to get a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. I'll do it within 30 days, usually much sooner. I don't sell or rent personal data, and I don't share it with anyone except the service providers above.
